Learning Experience in Loss

September 28th, 2009 | by Tupac4Congress |

The Falcons took the Brady Bunch down to the wire, trailing 16-10 in the 3rd to the New England Patriots. Matt Ryan proved to be an ice cold QB in the 2nd half and didn’t deliver as expected. The Falcons ended up losing the game 26-10 in a musty Gillette Stadium. Weather could have played a factor in this game for Matt Ryan and Co because they play in the Georgia Dome, but that is no excuse for the loss. The key play of this game is when Michael Jenkins started celebrating a TD, but realized it all came back due to a penalty, this could have gave the Falcons a 17-16 lead in the 3rd and this may have changed the momentum of the game.

“They were the better team today,” coach Mike Smith said of the Patriots. “Guys, its real simple and you want to search for answers. They were the better team.”

The Falcons are 2-1 in the young season and are looking to improve in anyways possible. Now, all the Falcons have to do is catch the New Orleans Saints and there dominate Drew Brees aerial attack and maybe they might win the NFC South.
