Wow, a Bye Week? Already?
September 30th, 2009 | by Tupac4Congress |After a tough loss last week to the Patriots, the Atlanta Falcons will have the rest of the week to regain there composure and head to San Francisco to take on the 49ers on October 11th. The Falcons couldn’t buy a break against the Brady Bunch and the Michael Jenkins play in my opinion was a team morale killer. Peria Jerry looked like he would be a very impressive player this season, but is out for season and that leaves the Falcons to believe they need to reestablish there run defense. This bye week could be a great time for the Falcons, but not so much a great time for the fans. I won’t lie, I’m going to miss seeing Matt Ryan and the Tony Gonzalez combo dominate this Sunday. It looks like I will have to watch Tony Romo and Jason Witten earn there money.

Nonetheless, back to the Falcons. Week 5 will pit them against the (Gore – Less) San Francisco 49ers. Frank Gore would have a huge impact on this game, but since he is out with an injury the Falcons shouldn’t have a problem. Oh wait, Frank Gore’s backup is Crimson Tide alum Glen Coffee and could things get worse? I don’t think so, but even without Gore, Glen Coffee is still a major threat to the Falcons defense because he is almost comparable to a Brandon Jacobs type player, but just has more speed than Brandon Jacobs. So much for this game being easy. The other problem is the 49ers are led by a great coach in Mike Singletary and I don’t think he will let the 49ers bring there F game. Just ask TE Vernon Davis and tell him how it went last year. If the Niners keep up there winning ways, I believe that Singletary deserves recognition for Coach of the Year. The only other coach that may deserve it is Bryan Douglass’s Denver Broncos and Josh McDaniels. But, I think there luck with winning will run out sooner or later because Stokley can’t catch them all Bryan.

Ending off on this note, I would like to congratulate the Baltimore Orioles blog called Camden Crazies. This blog is in the running for one of the best blogs in Maryland. Although, I am a die hard Philadelphia Phillies fan, I must say this blog is very well written and does deserve the recognition. Keep up the good work man and I must say congrats on the honors.
P.S. – Since football isn’t on, I’m going to go watch Brad Lidge break the record for the most blown saves in a year. Don’t worry Brad, Philly is hoping you can come out of this slump.
