The Falcons Test
December 12th, 2009 | by Tupac4Congress |With me struggling to post through Exam Week, I would like to apologize. Chemistry = Very Tough. Now, I should be back in action for good, but what better time to post the Falcons true test. Playoff hopes are still in the air, but after Michael Turner and Matt Ryan being “Questionable” for the game against the New Orleans Saints, the odds seem to be against us. Overall, I would have never thought the year would have turned out like this and I’m so disappointed in the team. I really thought this Falcons team was capable of going to the playoffs and doing some damage, but I could even be wrong about the playoffs part.
The New Orleans Saints are coming to town this week and there bringing there undefeated record along with them. Hopefully, some miracle could happen and that Michael Turner and Matt Ryan would both be playing in the game. Although, I really think we still would probably lose against the Saints either way. Last time on Monday Night Football, Drew Brees scorched the Falcons and killed us with the speed combo of Reggie Bush, Marques Colston, Devery Henderson, and Robert Meachem. For the Falcons, that was a very tough bill to stop because the fastest player on our defense is probably Tye Hill and he really doesn’t qualify as “Football” fast, which to me is the ability to be able to tackle in the backfield, explode through with your hits, be able to keep up with the best receivers in the game.
Even better news for the Falcons, defensive tackle Jonathan Babineaux was arrested for possession of marijuana. Luckily, he wasn’t hit with the distribute charge because that would have made the penalty more harsh. It almost seems like the officer was out to get him because Babs was charged not having a visible tag light, materials on windshield and light, no driver’s license and an expired tag. Tough stuff, but hopefully you can recover Babs because your a great football player.
We turn to a lighter note and I was forwarded this message by Jose. I will just post the whole message so you guys have a better understanding of what’s going on.
“Hi, My name is Jose with Octagon Football. We represent several Atlanta Falcons players that will be putting on a charity toy drive on (Monday 12/14/2009 at the Mall of Georgia. The guys will be there signing autographs for fans that bring by a new, unwrapped toy ($10+).”
Nothing better than giving over the holidays and I would appreciate it much if you guys showed up and donated. Behind the Atlanta faithful, I’m sure this will be a great turn out. Preview for the Falcons vs. Saints game will be up tomorrow morning, before I head out to work.
